Support storytelling for and about philanthropy
The Philanthropists is made possible in part through the generous support of Lumina Foundation. We're grateful for their partnership in sharing these stories of purpose-driven giving.
This work matters, especially now. Philanthropy is under intense public scrutiny. The instinct in a moment like this is to go quiet and let the sector's story be told by others, or not told at all. We think the opposite is true. This is exactly when storytelling matters most. When people hear philanthropists explain, in plain language, why they give and what that giving has made possible, it builds understanding and trust that statistics alone never could.
The people on this show aren't abstractions. Their generosity has kept clinics open, kept families together, and kept opportunity within reach for the communities that need it most. Telling their stories honestly and well helps the public see philanthropy for what it actually is: not through headlines, but through the human choices behind the giving.
Episode after episode, this work also helps philanthropy get better at telling its own story: who the sector is, the work it supports, and why that work matters to the communities it touches.
If you'd like to support these stories, consider contributing to the Center for Philanthropic Storytelling through our fiscal sponsor, AirMedia. Contributions are 100% tax-deductible.
